The Town Council owns and maintains around 20 parks of varying sizes in and around New Mills. These are looked after by a Parks Departments managed by Stephen Lewis under the direction of the Leisure and Parks Committee of Councillors A. J. Stevens (Chair), J Carter (Vice-Chair), A. Ashton, E.Atkins, M. L. Gadd, G. Jennings.
