The Town Council owns and maintains around 20 parks of varying sizes in and around New Mills. These are looked after by a Parks Departments managed by Stephen Lewis under the direction of the Leisure and Parks Committee of Councillors A. J. Stevens (Chair) G.Jennings (Vice-Chair) A.Ashton, E.Atkins, M. L. Gadd & S. A. Sharp.
