The Town Council is responsible for all parks and open spaces in New Mills, including the Torrs Riverside Park, Town Hall and the Heritage and Information Centre HERITAGECENTRE

The Town Hall houses the Town Council offices, Council Chamber and the top floor houses the largest public hall in the town which is fully accesssible from a level entrance to the rear of the building. 

The commitment of the Council to improving the environment is expressed in its Environmental Policy and Action Plan
